Lip Filler can enhance your lips but may occasionally result in lumps or asymmetry, which can be dissolved with Hylenex (hyaluronidase) by professionals.
Lip Filler is so popular! Depending on what look you’re going for, it can make your lips appear luscious, hydrated and youthful. Sometimes, however, it can form lumps, bumps, be asymmetric, or just not to your liking. Don’t worry! You don’t have to live with it if you don’t want to!
A product exists that will dissolve HA (hyaluronic acid) fillers! It is called Hylenex, or hyaluronidase. It is a product that most providers who inject HA fillers have on hand, as a precautionary measure, in case a blood vessel happens to be filled or compressed. It is also handy for smoothing out lumps or bumps that can occur from certain lip fillers. Hylanex works by attaching to the HA filler and breaking it down, and the body absorbs it.
If you’re not satisfied with your lip filler, it’s generally recommended to see the provider who originally performed the injection, so they may correct it to your liking. However, if you would prefer to try a different provider, Laurel Krupski PA-C at Twin Falls Dermatology & Aesthetics is happy to help! For $150, the lip filler can be dissolved, and we can come up with a new plan for future lip filler. Word of caution: Hylanex stings, so you’ll be given a numbing cream to apply prior to injection. It can take about a day before you notice the filler completely dissolved.
